Monday Review

If you’re looking for comprehensive project management and customer relationship management (CRM) software to stay ahead of the competition Monday, may be an excellent choice for you. Their task management, time tracking, and project management tools are incredible options for small teams, startups, solopreneurs, and freelancers. Monday helps everyone get things done and stay organized in an efficient way. Read on for a Monday review.

Some of the best features of Monday.com

  • User-friendly dashboards and UIs
  • Task management and project management
  • Shareable boards
  • Integrations, APIs, and widgets
  • Dependencies and templates
  • Budget tracking
  • Document management
  • Android and iOS mobile apps

It may come as a surprise to you but Monday.com is unarguably one of the best project tracker and task management tools available. For example, you can leverage project management, visual tasks, and time-tracking user interface options (timelines, calendar view, Gantt chart, Kanban, workloads, maps, and more). This easy-to-use software has templates for everything from sales pipeline management to customer support ticketing.  Additionally, users can leverage highly customizable templates that are simple, clear, and look great.

Monday helps automize your work with dependency columns that are helpful to coordinate and assign dependent tasks. Dependencies can be done with automation so that a dependent task will automatically kick off when the first one gets completed. You can even put notes and mention individuals in posts to notify them that tasks are waiting for them. In other words, Monday offers a great deal of visibility into what everyone is working on so that everyone stays on track.

You can use Monday for a sales dashboard where you collect and nurture qualified leads through the fulfillment process. It offers an open API and ample native CRM integrations with popular apps such as Gmail, Excel, Shopify, Outlook, DocuSign, Mailchimp, and Salesforce so you can easily centralize your entire sales pipeline.

One of the best things about Monday’s sales platform is that you can easily manage the entire sales pipeline from lead to close without making a switch between different tabs or programs. The sales CRM platform helps teams easily manage the entire sales cycle and track customer data with easy-to-build custom automation that gets rid of the manual work and repetitive tasks. It has a powerful and streamlined core work management platform to run and scale any workflow.

Monday also offers centralized client communication that can be used to maintain a record of customer interactions, automatically log sent emails, and leverage personalized email templates to save time. Furthermore, all plans offered by Monday have 24/7 customer support associated with them along with unlimited boards to organize projects, clients, and processes.

Where Monday lacks is a proper user interface, especially when you are taking your tasks with you on your mobile. Things may get a bit clunky, and some new users may find it complicated initially. Also, HIPAA compliance and some security features are only restricted to the Enterprise plan and automation is restricted to a set number of actions per month. All paid Monday sales CRM plans have a three-seat minimum.

I started using Monday in January of 2022, the automation is time-consuming, but once it’s set up it’s worth having in place. Other aspects are more complicated and would need an outsourced partner to set up for me. I’ve used Salesforce for about ten years then a few other options over the years. So far, Monday has been working quite well, and the cost is fantastic. I like that I can easily have sales flow from my sales dashboard into the project managers’ boards then once the project manager finishes projects they can go to billing without effort. Tracking projects and issues are simple allowing more time for everything else.

Community

Something that came as a surprise was the interactive community surrounding monday.com. As mentioned before, some parts of the platform can be more complex, taking more time to grasp, but the Monday.com user community is full of people ready to help. From everyday users to workflow experts, everyone works together to solve problems, answer questions, and find new ways to enhance the platform. Moreover, if you need direct assistance building out your processes, there are dozens of high-quality partners across the globe specializing in many different areas. Accessing these partners is the best way to find out what is coming next to the platform, uncover new ways to build a process you never would have considered, and gain a new perspective on workflow automation.

CarbonWeb is a Monday partner I have been in touch with recently, and they do everything from creating custom workflows to developing native integrations and building end-to-end solutions they call CarbonSuites. For those not set on Monday’s feature-locked CRM, consider exploring the CarbonCRM Suite, an alternative solution by CarbonWeb built on Monday’s native Work OS. Partners such as CarbonWeb and others are the best gateway into Monday because they’ve been using the platform for 5+ years, growing and learning with it every step of the way. You can search for help in the hire an expert section of the community forums or search the certified partner network for vetted expert consultants.
