There are many different platforms preferred for different reasons. If you had asked me back in 2021, I would have mentioned UpWork, but since then, their fees have become too high. Sure, you can use Fiverr, which I personally love and have used many times to source consultants, editors, and writers, but Fiverr makes it more user-friendly and beneficial for the client rather than for its freelancers. You can always answer advertisements, but a lot of clients don’t use that feature. Solid Gigs and Flexi Jobs are more focused on the ease of the search for freelancers looking for new gigs and clients.
SolidGigs
SolidGigs is known for providing high-quality job leads to freelancers. They curate and filter job listings to ensure that freelancers have access to relevant and legitimate opportunities. The platform matches freelancers with gigs based on their skills and expertise, increasing the likelihood of finding suitable projects. Freelancers receive a weekly email with a list of curated job opportunities, saving them time searching for gigs. SolidGigs offers a supportive community and resources for freelancers who want to grow their skills and their business, including webinars, articles, and templates.
SolidGigs is a paid service with a monthly subscription fee, which might be a drawback for freelancers on a tight budget. There is a week-long free trial to start, so you do not have to necessarily invest in becoming a full subscriber right away. Subscription-based services can end up saving you more of your profit than commissions or a percentage of your earned dollars. You can also cancel at any time. They don’t have a free plan as of yet. Certain niches certainly offer more available opportunities than others. Take a look and see if your industry has enough options available; the free trial gives you the ability to take that research step risk-free so you can make an informed decision about whether or not the service is right for you.
SolidGigs primarily focuses on curating and delivering job listings to freelancers, so they may not provide extensive resources or links beyond job listings. They also have online tools and resources that are more direct to actual clients than other platforms so that users can maintain relationships with their clients.

FlexJobs
FlexJobs has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and 4.68/5.0 customer reviews on BBB. Pretty impressive!

If you’re the type who likes to keep your options open and be a free agent, it will appeal to you that there is no contract; you can cancel at any time.
Both SolidGigs and FlexJobs are options that are great for finding freelance work, but it depends on what your needs are. FlexJobs proudly claims that they have no scams, advertisements, or bogus jobs listed on their site. They have very good reviews, so maybe they are the right option for you.
