To set the correct permalinks structure, head to Settings > Permalinks.

If you don’t assign a category to your posts, WordPress will automatically place them in the “Uncategorized” category.
You can create categories and tags via Posts > Categories and Posts > Tags.
Categories are essential because they help you create more meaningful and SEO-friendly permalinks. To achieve this, navigate to Settings > Permalinks, select “Custom Structure,” and enter /%category%/%postname%/.

A well-organized structure helps users navigate your website as it evolves, making it more manageable. Search engine crawlers will also find it easier to index your pages, locate your content, and add your permalinks to search results.
Begin by organizing your information with a spreadsheet. Place the homepage at the top and add the category pages below it. Once that’s finished, you can develop your internal linking strategy. Search engines favor well-structured, user-friendly web pages with numerous internal links pointing to other pages. After completing the spreadsheet, start building your web pages and categories. Finally, create and submit an XML sitemap to Google Search Console. This will help Google effectively crawl and index your blog or website.
Make your website mobile-friendly
With over 4.3 billion active mobile internet users and over 60% of Google searches coming from mobile devices, your site must perform exceptionally well on desktop computers and mobile devices. Select a mobile-friendly theme.
